Hello! I’m Alex, and I’m a licensed associate professional counselor (LAPC) in Georgia, a national certified counselor (NCC), and a certified trauma professional (CTP). I’m also a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). With my associate license, I see clients professionally under the supervision of Jennifer Wells, LPC, CPCS (LPC: 008961, CPCS:4183).
I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Mercer University and my bachelor’s in psychology from Florida State University. My mental health career began as a clinical intern, working with individuals at an outpatient psychiatric facility. I currently work with clients at Exhale Counseling Services in Acworth.
In my spare time, I enjoy contributing educational content to the talktherapy with Alex blog. I also enjoy teaching MCAT psychology & sociology for a popular test prep company. I have many hobbies, which include cooking and baking, birdwatching, and spending time with my wife and our two dogs, cat, and gecko!

What are Alex’s fees for therapy?
Alex’s session fee for 45-minute sessions (with individuals or couples) is $120. Exhale Counseling is a self-pay office, which means Alex doesn’t bill insurance directly. However, he is happy to provide a superbill, which clients can submit to their insurance company for reimbursement. He also offers sliding scale pricing for qualified applicants.
